dezeen has revealed the interiors longlist for “dezeen Awards 2019.” The annual dezeen Awards, which would now enter its second year, identifies the world’s best architecture, interiors, and design, as well as the studios, individual architects, and designers producing the most outstanding work.For its interior design longlist, a total of 259 projects makes its way, including a pink vegan pizza place, a bunker-like apartment, and a library in an old locomotive shed. According to dezeen, they received more than 4,500 entries from 87 for the event.“The longlist for the interior categories features an array of impressive names, including Conran and Partners, Universal Design Studio, Snohetta, and Rockwell Group,” writes dezeen. “It also includes a holiday house, which is designed to stand out like a minimalist sculpture, a family home with an indoor climbing wall and a cathedral-inspired cafe.”For the ‘House Interior’ category of awards, shortlisted projects include “Perry Rise,” London, UK, by 2LG Studio; “Y RESIDENCE,” Toyonaka, Japan, by A.N.D; “Polychrome House,” Cronulla, Australia, by Amber Road + Lymesmith, “@atnumber16,” London, UK, by Blakes London, and “Repoussoir,” London, UK, by Con Form Architects.“Corals,” Singapore, by 0932 Design Consultants; “Nassim Mansion,” Singapore, by 0932 Design Consultants; “Nagatacho Apartment,” Tokyo, Japan, by Adam Nathaniel Furman, and “The Bauhaus loft,” Tel Aviv, Israel, by Axelrod Architects are among the entries to the “apartment interior” award section.Other categories include ‘Restaurant and Bar Interior,’ ‘Hotel and Short Stay Interior,’ ‘Retail Interior,’ ‘Large Workspace,’ ‘Small Workspace,’ ‘Leisure and Wellness Interior,’ ‘Civic and Cultural interior,’ and ‘Small Interior.”The shortlist will be decided by a panel of judges that consists of 75 leading figures from the architecture and design world.
