The Antiques and Art Fair Luxembourg is returning this year with newcomers of international renown among 110 exhibitors from eight countries. The fair bills itself as the largest event of its kind in the greater region and will present a full range of styles and eras.The areas covered: furniture, design, objects d’art, decorative and ceremonial objects, jewelry, silverware, old books, bronzes, old and contemporary paintings and sculptures, prints, glassware, ceramics, and Asian art.Experts will advise visitors and dealers as well as examining the exhibits before the opening to ensure quality and authenticity.This year’s newcomers will include Galerie Eufrazie from Valkenburg, specializing in Romantic paintings; Maison Sadrae from Brussels which specializes in rugs and textiles from the 18th century to the early 20th century; Galerie Art Deco 1925 from Baden-Baden; Antique Cane from Amsterdam (specialist in collectors’ canes); Galerie Nippo from Paris which offers Japanese antiques; Cartellino from Brussels with vintage watches; and South East Asian Collection, also from Belgium, with Asian antiques.As in previous years, the fair will host a workshop on restoring furniture.Antiques and Art Fair Luxembourg will run from January 29 through February 1 at Luxexpo, Luxembourg.
