World-renowned British artist, Damien Hirst has designed the most expensive hotel suite ever, for the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. A two-night stay at this hotel suite will set you back for $200,000. It occupies two floors within the Palms Resort, covering an area of 9,000 square feet. The General Manager of Palms Casino Resort, Jon Gray commented on this suite and said, “The Empathy Suite designed by Damien Hirst is the pinnacle of luxury combining museum-worthy art and a truly legendary hospitality experience for the discerning hotel aficionado and casino guest looking for a once-in-a-lifetime Las Vegas stay.” Hirst appreciated the Palm Casino Resort and said, “I love what Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta have done with the Palms. It’s amazing being able to work with them because they are great collectors and totally understand art.” He adds, “They have allowed me to create a suite in the hotel and design everything and completely fill it with my art.” This Damien Hirst Suite offers two master bedrooms and a cantilevered outdoor pool overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, while also including massage rooms, two bathrooms, a powder room, numerous lounges that can fit over 50 people, a gym, and a salt relaxation room. Hirst designed this suite in collaboration with the New York firm Bentel & Bentel Architects and Klai Juba Wald Architects, a local firm. According to a Daily Mail Report, other services at this suite include a private behind-the-scenes art tour of the suite and entire property, 24-hour butler service, chauffeured car service throughout the stay, and A-list access to Palms, all of which come with highly personalized and exclusive guest experience. Along with unique artwork, which is one of the most highlighting elements of this villa, other impressive features include, both expansive master bedrooms fitted with California-King beds, spacious closets, and spacious bathrooms with double sinks, and ample lighting for makeup application. There is an outdoor terrace that offers a comfortable lounge seating overlooking Las Vegas. The villa showcases Hirst’s six original works, which include, “Winner/Loser” (2018), two bull sharks suspended in formaldehyde in a white tank set into the wall of the suite; “Casino Royal” (2018), a ten panel collection of his butterfly motifs on monochrome gloss-painted canvases; “Vegas” (2018), a Medicine Cabinet; “Money” (2018) and “The Winner Takes It All” (2018). https://www.blouinartinfo.com/              Founder: Louise Blouin
